Morning message

Monday, May 4, 2020 5-4-20

Good morning first graders!
Today is May 4th.

The weather was so beautiful this weekend! I spent so much time outside.

What did you do this weekend?

Love,

Mrs. Manz

Calendar

Here are the calendar squares for the weekend and today.

puzzle

Tad is on the move. Each calendar square shows how or where Tad is moving to.

On the 2nd, Tad moved down, down, left, left. He has been on 24. Moving down, down will add 2 tens. 24, 34, 44. Then he moved left, left. Moving left subtracts 1. 44, 43, 42. We need to color square 42 in purple.

Then, on the 3rd, Tad moved down, down again. Remember, moving down on the 100 grid adds 10. 42, 42, 62. We need to color 62 in purple.

Today's square looks different. It's a 100 grid puzzle. It shows that Tad is on the square before 54 or above 63. Where is Tad? We will need to color this square in yellow.

You can make your own 120 chart or print this one to follow along with Tad and make your own secret picture.
