Good morning first graders! Yesterday, we started reading Stories from Bug Garden by Lisa Moser. Today we will continue reading from this book!

You will need to get a stuffed animal for today's video morning meeting!

Learning activities for Thursday

• Wellness
• Breathing Buddies Lay on your back and place a stuffed animal on your belly. Breathe. Take deep breaths in and out.
• Watch the animal move up and down.
• Reading
• Read a book or ebook (Raz-kids, Sora) on your Book Club topic.
• Stop on each page. Write facts or how your thinking changed.
• Math
• Practice your counting backwards skills by solving equations. Use the objects from your toolkit to create and solve equations in which the first number is above 10.
• Example: I have 18 apples. My brother ate 8. How many do I have left? 18-8=
• Email your teacher a picture of you solving a subtraction equation.
• Math small groups - Group times and zoom links will be in your email.
