Happy Friday! Today we will have a video morning meeting! The weather looks warm, but a little cloudy this weekend. What will you do to move your body this weekend?

Love,
Mrs. Manz

Calendar

Here is today's calendar square:

letter H
Woah! What is this shape?
It’s the letter H. It has 12 sides. Can you count them.
Trace this shape. Cut it out. Can you fold it into equal, congruent parts? How many? Does the shape have symmetry?
We now have 2 letters on our calendar. E and H. Remember, we need to use the letters to figure out the blank work in our calendar puzzle.

Here is the calendar chart to look for patterns.

Then, drop the ball (don’t throw it!) into the pot from about 4 inches above the water.  What happens?  Keep dropping the ball from higher spots and seeing what happens.  When does the boat sink?  Take some pennies out, does that change how high the ball can go before the boat sinks?  What else can you try?
